When frustration hits, it’s the little things

Today has been frustrating, to say the least. In fact, the past 10 days or so have been increasingly frustrating. And there’s absolutely nothing I can do about it except try to keep up. So my goal is to deal with each hurdle as it comes–not focusing on the cost or sacrifice, but on getting through, beyond, out of the clutches of circumstances.

I keep my latest mantra nearby: “You are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed–or indeed only one.”

And I choose (sometimes moment by moment) to focus on the good. The beautiful. The meaningful. The little things.

Apples for making applesauce.

A sleepy Ginger.

A fall leaf.

Yummy puffy pancakes.

A fall sunrise.

Puppy trying on her new life vest.

Because you know what? I’ll survive this maelstrom, and the next one, and the one after that. And I will thrive.
