“Our moments of inspiration are not lost though we have no particular poem to show for them;
for those experiences have left an indelible impression,
and we are ever and anon reminded of them.”
~ Henry David Thoreau
Husband and I took our out-of-town guests to one of our favorite local spots: Norfolk Botanical Garden.
I love the variety of things they have growing in every season and expanse that the garden covers–we’re rarely able to see the whole thing in just one visit. Plus, everything that is growing outdoors can be grown in our climate, which means that we can get some inspiration for our own landscaping. Granted, we don’t own a house yet, so we’re not going to sink a lot of money into these beautiful plants just yet. But that doesn’t mean I can’t dream.
It is truly May, and my life is filled with flowers.
And, of course, the plethora of honeysuckle just outside my bedroom window. Really, is there any sweeter aroma than that of this lovely flower wafting through your room as you sleep?
Spring has sprung and summer is quickly on its way.
